10 years ago, I needed a woman who saw my potential. Someone who encouraged me to be bold and create my own path. Someone who lived her truth. Someone who wanted to help me discover how I truly wanted to live my life and how I could serve others. Someone who deeply trusted me and my capabilities. Someone who was grounded in herself, knew how to regulate her nervous system, and had healed many of her beliefs so that she didn’t project her insecurities onto others—or at least prioritized this work.

Now that I have gone through it all by myself, I am transforming the hard moments when I felt overwhelmed, stressed, unsupported, helpless, and insecure into medicine. I want to be honest: I still sometimes have moments when I feel overwhelmed and insecure, but I have strategies to deal with them. I don’t let those feelings consume me or hold me back anymore, and they occur rarely.

We have over 70,000 thoughts each day, and many of them focus on what we don’t want. To make meaningful changes in our lives, it’s essential to dedicate time every day to reprogram our thoughts. Change doesn’t happen overnight, so consistency is key. Even if you don’t see results immediately, keep going and trust in the process. 🤍

I recommend repeating affirmations, connecting with them, and truly feeling their truth in the morning before you start your day. Continue until they feel natural to you. You can also listen to looped affirmations on YouTube while walking, cooking, or doing other tasks, or play them before going to bed.

If you commit to this practice wholeheartedly, you will notice a shift in how you feel. Over time, your external reality will align with and reflect your new beliefs back to you.

Fun fact: I’ve been doing this for years to change the way I think, feel, and act. During my studies, I was so scared of presentations that I would take a piece of paper, write down affirmations like “I am calm” and “I am capable,” and place it under my glass of water. Every time I drank the water, I imagined myself becoming calmer and more confident. It actually worked—I felt soooo much better, and my tutor even reflected back to me how relaxed I seemed during my presentation. 😁🙏🏼
